Community Living Wallaceburg adapts its resources and utilizes community contacts to organize activities and respond to requests for consumer-directed supports. Specific initative include:

  • Persons-centred, life planning
  • Recruitment and training of volunteers
  • Summer youth programs
  • Community development; special projects
  • Leisure and recreational activities
  • Employment and career support, including ODSP employment supports
  • Accommodation supports (Independent Living to 24 hours)
  • Literacy and numeracy training
  • Home-based respite (adults & children)
  • Flexible, in and out-of-home respite (children and adults)
  • Co-ordination of Special Services at Home (SSAH) for Chatham-Kent
  • Planning and support with transitional age youths
